Each class at Little Pilgrim School has two teachers, with a maximum of 18 children in the three-to-five year old classes and up to 14 children in the two-year-old classes. The 2’s classes also incorporate a part-time aide to ensure a positive first experience for our youngest learners. Teachers have college degrees, Washington State teaching certificates and/or equivalent practical experience in working with preschoolers and their parents. All staff have first aid/CPR training and undergo background checks.
Our teachers are experienced and passionate about their work! They delight in the joy and wonder of childhood and are collaborators and co-learners right alongside the children; providing a rich learning environment and an engaging curriculum. All teachers have college education; multiple years’ experience in the early childhood field. They continue to pursue knowledge in the profession of early education through classes, workshops, conferences, reading, research and on-site professional development opportunities.
